Some people go to Dover to make a point. I go there to make a difference. I'm not interested in performative politics or chasing the latest social media trends. I'm the son of a union electrician and a small business owner. I was raised on the idea that leadership isn't about who talks the loudest, but who actually shows up to do the heavy lifting.

I served as a healthcare executive and university professor, and I'm your neighbor. My guiding principle comes from the motto of my alma mater, Antioch University: "Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity." Since you elected me, I've treated every day as an
opportunity to win those victories for our community.

Real Solutions, Not Rhetoric

In the Senate, I don't just hold a seat; I lead. As Chair of the Corrections and Public Safety Committee, I use my professional experience to cut through the noise and pass legislation that impacts daily life:​

• Lowering Your Costs: I was the prime sponsor of the bill to reduce your property taxes, and I've been a leading voice fighting back against Delmarva's unjustified rate hikes.

• Healthcare Freedom: I passed the law giving Medicare Medigap policyholders the freedom to change plans without a medical risk assessment. I also stood firm to ensure state retirees and employees kept the insurance they earned.

• ​Protecting Our Rights: I voted to codify reproductive rights into our state constitution and co-sponsored the Richard "Mouse" Smith civil rights bill to ensure justice and dignity for everyone in our system.
